Reseña del libro "Quality Seed Production in Mungbean Under Abiotic Stress Condition (en Inglés)"
Grain legumes or the pulses are important protein source for human beings. Nutritionally pulses are two to three times richer in protein than the cereal grains and have remained the least expensive source of protein for the human being since the dawn of the modern civilization. Mungbean [Vigna radiata (L) Wilczek] is one of the important short duration pulse crops. It is grown over a wide range of soils throughout the world. Historically, India has been the largest global producer and consumer of mungbean. Seed being a living entity, deterioration beyond physiological maturity is inevitable and will be pronounced when seeds are stored under hostile conditions. This book deals with the possibility of using commonly available micronutrients and botanicals for seed hardening and macronutrients and micronutrients for seed pelleting to get the desired effect of withstanding drought and salinity during early phase of germination and seedling growth to help the resource poor dryland farmers to get higher seed yield.
