The Völsungasaga is a 13th century Icelandic prose rendition of the origin and decline of the Völsung clan including the story of Sigurd and Brynhild and the destruction of the Burgundians. Many of the earliest books, particularly those dating back to the 1900s and before, are now extremely scarce and increasingly expensive.
