Reseña del libro

This book, as a kind of a big herbarium, with black-and-white and color art photographs shows in detail the most interesting Argentine autochtochnous plants. Its main objective is to bear testimony of a hardly known heritage. Author Marcos Zimmermann together with well-known agricultural engineer Juan Jose Valla, are in charge of evaluating, selecting and photographing the range of species forming part of this edition. The book is divided into several chapters, starting with big double-page photographs plus some poetic texts referred to legends, beliefs and popular sayings as to our native plants. In the remaining pages, images of close-ups of flowers, fruits and species details are inserted in opposition to drawings and descriptive texts on the plants. The book comprises from the smallest herbs to some big autochtochnous trees, shown through a poetic eye, and stressing their variety, richness and visual beauty.
