Reseña del libro

Why is this book necessary? It was written to reinforce the “Brexit” message to an increasingly weary and sceptical UK public, led along the road to scepticism by a group of people who were amazed at the result of the European Union (EU) referendum, who do not want us to leave the EU, and will apparently do whatever they can to frustrate the outcome of a democratic vote. The book makes no claim to be impartial. It will not present a ‘balanced’ argument, as the author contends that those who voted for Brexit are in need of support for their position. Through example and deductive reasoning, Swift shows how the EU has gradually assumed greater powers and influence in the domestic and international affairs of member states, and how this influence has been achieved incrementally, bringing in changes over the last sixty years that have all led towards the development of a Federal European ‘superstate’ – The United States of Europe. This book discusses the problems with the EU, examines reasons why this relationship went wrong, and explains a result that was generally not predicted by most political commentators.
